NFTs received a huge boost today, as the lord almighty put his/her faith in the blockchain. None other than the Pope and his cabal of lackeys at the Vatican have announced it will diversify into non-fungible tokens.

In a press release, Metaverse pioneer, Sensorium, revealed it has inked an incredible deal with Vatican affiliated non-profit, Humanity 2.0. Together, this unlikely duo will build an immersive VR experience to display some of the papal’s priceless artefacts. Through the initiative, ordinary folk with access to the Web3 world will have the opportunity to gaze upon some of history’s greatest masterpieces. Therefore, gaining access to some of the best artists to walk the earth, including the likes of Leonardo Davinci, Raphael, Michelangelo and the infamous Donatello.

In addition to the beloved artworks, the dynamic duo will also reproduce some of the Vatican’s famous manuscripts, as well as a number of its own academic initiatives. So, with God on the side of the blockchain, hopefully he/she can give ETH a nudge in the upwards trajectory.
