10KTF Shop, a project that creates accessories for major NFT PFPS, recently put out an awesome anime trailer featuring its main character, Wagmi-san. The teaser was clearly pointing towards something epic, though there are no specifics as of yet. Whatever it is, the trailer indicates that it will be coming this coming Thursday, the 5th of May.
10KTF Shop teaser calls on the viewer to “Rise” with Wagmi-san
The video came courtesy of the 10KTF Shop Twitter account on April 28th. Basically, the well-crafted anime teaser seems to paint a story based around Wagmi-san and New Tokyo.
To sum up, the trailer follows a young man, seemingly a young Wagmi-san, as he sets up a new shop on a city street corner. Then we see the man proudly selling his wares along with his pet cat until a shadowy villain appears. The man’s cat ends up scratching the villain, foiling his attempt to rob the store.
The next scene in the teaser sees the man distraught at the sight of his shop, which has been set on fire by the villain and his gang. To add insult to injury, the villains throw the cat’s collar in front of him as he falls to his knees. As fires flash across the man’s face, an older Wagmi-san takes his place. He has a determined look and unsheathes a katana as the animation ends.
Finally, the teaser ends with the words “Rise With Wagmi” and a release date – 5.5.2022.
Background on the metaverse merch project
As noted above, 10KTF acts as a store, producing 1-of-1 accessories for major NFT projects. To that end, the list of NFT collections that can access 10KTF accessory NFTs includes BAYC, MAYC, Cool Cats, Gutter Cat Gang, and World of Women. In addition, the project has also collaborated with major IRL brands.
By the same token, in the fictional world of New Tokyo, Wagmi-san is the main character. He is the store owner and craftsman behind the 10KTF shop.
