Pampers Launches NFT Project To Support Black Women’s Maternal Health

Pampers advocates for black women’s maternal health by launching an NFT project. That’s why we are committed to helping change the systemic issues that prevent Black moms from receiving equitable care”.In addition to releasing an NFT collection on the NFT marketplace Curio, Pampers will also sponsor Black Maternal Health Week, which the Black Mamas Matter Alliance founded and leads.The NFT collection consists of a 1/1 piece auction and an artwork. Pampers will sell it as an open edition. Basically, there will be no limit on the number of sales. The artist, Keah Adams from the Art by Venus studio, designed both pieces. Curio will match any sales that occur in the first 24 hours.Angela Aina, the executive director at the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, said that they appreciate the Pampers’ support. She added that similar efforts by other brands can also lead to more awareness about the maternal mortality crisis in the U.S.According to recent statistics, black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related issues than white women.Philanthropy Through NFTsActs of philanthropy aren’t new in the Web3 space. In fact, aside from Pampers, many brands and even some countries, have used NFTs for a greater cause. For instance, Ukraine has received crypto donations and has also released official NFTs as they battle against the Russian invasion.Additionally, World of Women, an NFT project that fights for equal treatment in the Web3 sector for female creators and artists, also made significant donations.
