The adorable world of Care Bears is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the launch of an NFT collection. Dubbed ‘Care Bears Forever,’ the collection comes with the tagline ‘Let’s turn this Bear Market into a Care Bears,’ and is made in partnership with NFT platform RECUR.
The collection consists of 10,000 PFP NFTs which are based around ten of the following characters from the show; Cheer Bear, Grump Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Bedtime Bear, Best Friend Bear, Tenderheart Bear, Birthday Bear and Wish Bear. As expected, each NFT will come with the iconic Care Bears artwork which was first crafted by American artist Elena Kucharik back in 1981.
Along with its original artwork, the collection will also be embedded with a mystery prize dynamic wherein reward ‘crates’ will be on offer to select holders. The collection will drop on August 4th, with RECUR Pass holders to receive early access to the sale. For now, the price of the assets remains undisclosed.
The Web3 brains behind the project, RECUR, is building a reputation for being the go-to developer for mass mainstream NFT drops, as the likes of Nickelodeon, Star Trek, and Hello Kitty are also working alongside the company in their own respective Web3 journeys.
