Exit Festival, which is one of Europe’s largest music events, is teaming up with New Jersey-based startup NFT-TiX to provide its attendees with an innovative and forward-thinking NFT ticketing solution. As the chaos of the Champions League Final in Paris pointed out last month, the initiative comes as part of the event industry’s efforts to deploy more comprehensive, efficient, and secure ticketing systems across its endeavours, with blockchain tech and its non-fungible nature serving as an apt avenue of direction.
Through the NFT-TiX platform, Exit Festival is able to create and sell NFTs directly to its fans without the need for intermediaries to lend a hand. As with many festivals, there are three tiers of NFT tickets on offer on the NFT-TiX platform; Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
In speaking on the innovative concept, NFT-TiX founder and CEO Emil Ljesnjanin had this to say: “This is a game-changer for the festival industry. We can finally put an end to ticket fraud and scalping, and fans can be confident they’re getting the tickets they paid for”.
Exit festival takes place on July 7th in Novi Sad, Serbia, and is expected to attract crowds in the tens of thousands due to its star-studded line-up which features the likes of Calvin Harris, Maceo Plex, and Iggy Azalea. The event’s blockchain-infused experiences also don’t stop at its ticketing solution, as it also launched multiple NFT collections which pay homage to a selection of its performers.
