John Legend’s NFT platform, OurSong’s parent company ‘Our Happy Company’, just raised $7.5 million, in a round of funding which was led by Animoca Brands.

John Legend is one of the founders behind OurSong.About the FundingEarlier, OurSong’s parent company, Our Happy Company announced that it had received a round of funding in a seed round led by Infinity Ventures Crypto and Animoca Brands. They have said that it will be used to grow and develop the OurSong NFT platform.The funding also included participation from Cherubic Ventures, Circle Ventures, FBG Capital, Highstreet, HTC, Jump Trading, and North Island Ventures.The company says that its main product, OurSong, was “designed to give creators, including musicians and artists, a more equitable way to generate digital creations, monetize their work. And build communities around them”.They spoke also about the funding. Adding that the financing will position them “for further global expansion and enhancements to OurSong. Including the rollout of new features for creators.”About OurSong and John LegendOurSong is the first mobile app from Our Happy Company, which was co-founded by music artist, John Legend. The company say that they made creating and buying NFTs super easy. They’ve allowed everyone to turn stories, music, photography and any kind of art into NFT trading cards called Vibes. You can catch, collect and create ‘Vibes’. This can be done through their mobile app which is available on the App Store and Google Play.To clarify, John Legend is an R&B singer, from Ohio. His most well-known song, All of Me, has over 2 billion views on YouTube. Beyond music, he has also acted and produced movies, including producing the Oscar-winning La La Land. He is known across the world for his music. Legend also has millions of followers on all of his social media platforms. He first worked as a studio musician for big-name acts like Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys. Then, soon after rose to fame with his 2004 debut album ‘Get Lifted’, which was later certified double platinum.
