All About Ex-Disney Team’s Metaverse

Coming from a team of bright minds with experience in Disney Animation Studio, PlayStation Home, and more, is The Notorious Frogs of Frogland! This innovative project aims to offer a new Web3 experience that combines trading, gaming, and more.

On June 18th, the project officially started land sales for its metaverse, NewPangea, too – so let’s find out all about it!

What are the Notorious Frogs of Frogland?

In essence, the Notorious Frogs of Frogland is a collection of 10,000 generative NFTs launched in June 2021. Just as their name suggests, these digital avatars represent frogs with various hand-drawn traits.

Each frog NFT opens the door to a dedicated metaverse called NewPangea. In fact, each digital frog comes with unique RPG statistics. These special perks will help holders use their NFTs for a new roleplay experience.

Accordingly, NewPangea is divided into the Land of the Loose and the Land of the Nice. Of course, each holder must decide which side they join.

What will you find in the NewPangea metaverse?

At this moment, NewPangea is still under construction. However, the land sale has already begun on June 18th. Then, the project founders introduced the two main construction areas:

• Outlaw Zone, where you’ll find the Gutter Cat Gang;
• Post Mortem Zone, where the Wicked Cranium NFT project will create the Island of Osseous.

Obviously, partnering with such popular projects is an impressive achievement. All in all, now you can find seven types of lands available for purchase at 0.2 ETH per piece. From urban to forest and mountain areas, you can pick one – or more – of your favorite sceneries.

What about the Notorious Frogs of Frogland community?

To begin with, this project is led by the community. Surprisingly, the members have organized themselves into groups called Syndicates in the early stages of the project. This innovative structure has been helping the community thrive and add value to the project.

For example, part of the community created a podcast based on a music studio within NewPangea. The initiative aims to explore and promote new artists in various domains. Meanwhile, other community members created a digital news outlet covering crypto-related topics.

Last but not least, the NFT holders started using the NewPangea platform’s gameplay to support forests protected by the law. In short, the Notorious Frogs of Frogland have a powerful community with many plans ahead.

Nevertheless, this community wouldn’t have been possible without the founding team. In fact, the project founders are just as impressive as the community they’ve created!

Who are the project founders?

The CEO of the Notorious Frogs of Frogland is Ed “Snoop Frog” Mason. In the past, he created prototypes for Samsung, Mattel, and LG. Recently, he introduced the frog NFTs to a mainstream audience at the Bermuda International Film Festival!

Matt “Froggy Digital” Wilhelm, the project’s co-founder, worked for Microsoft, Samsung, and NPR. Meanwhile, the Chief Creative Officer Anthony “Shrimp” Shafer worked on some of the most iconic Hollywood franchises. From Pirates of the Caribbean to Transformers, his experience helped him bring the Notorious Frogs of Frogland to life.

Furthermore, the team also includes expert designers and developers. For instance, Damon “Bugs” Wolfe worked as a Computer Graphics Supervisor at the Disney Animation Studio.

The group includes Dr. Dave Ranyard and Ali Durrant of PlayStation Home too. Sony’s former head of studio Didi Mx, entrepreneur Daniel Van Der Ghinse, and more, all contribute to the project’s success.
