As Web3 and the opening up of borders post-COVID continues to broaden in tandem, its about time someone integrated the two welcoming phenomena together. Concepts such as RNTs are already trying to fill certain voids within the modern era of travel and blockchain technology, however the ‘Platinum Pilots’ NFT project is attempting to go further by offering an exclusive travel-centric members club for all of its holders.
Based on PFP NFTs of cartoon pilots, designed by Zurich-based illustrator Gregor Forster, the 9,999 assets of Platinum Pilots NFTs not only offer over 145 different cosmetic traits, but they also serve as an access card to an array of holders-only perks. Some of the perks include entrance to raffles for all-expenses paid holidays in paradise locations, access to travel blogs curated by industry and local experts, and other airdrops and giveaways.
The collection offers six packages for NFT holders, three of which (the Animal Support, Reef Project and the Local Tourist Support packages) are climate conscious. The remaining three packages are all still TBA, around the time of the collection’s mint at the end of June. Collectors are prompted to purchase a Platinum Pilot NFT as early as possible, in order to maximise their chances of winning an exotic holiday filled to the brim with extravagant activities and scenery.
