The 1st NFT Treasure Hunt On Google Maps: Meet Wallkanda

Wallkanda, the NFT platform dedicated to street art and graffiti, has just announced an artwork treasure hunt using Google Maps. In addition to participating in a fun NFT treasure hunt, participants have the chance to win 0.5 ETH.

Wallkanda is bringing urban art to the metaverse.

About the Google Maps treasure hunt

The Wallkanda team published a series of enigmas on Tuesday, May 24, at 5 p.m. CET. Each enigma will lead participants to a specific location on Google Maps with unique street artwork.

Participants must first find the artwork, and then use clues in the piece to find the artist behind the artwork. The first participant to unearth the 18 artists in the right order wins 0.5 ETH. Other prizes, including street art NFT, will be awarded to the top 10 participants of the NFT treasure hunt.

According to Florent Thurin, CEO of Wallkanda: “This hunt will highlight the work of 18 individual artists prior to the massive drop of over 20 artworks next week.” To participate in this event, interested individuals simply need to join the Wallkanda Discord and follow the project on Twitter, where the full series of enigmas will be published on May 28.

About Wallkanda

Wallkanda is an emerging web3 project focused on bridging the gap between street art and NFTs. The main mission of the project is to “capture and collect these artistic manifestations in a time-proof and censorship-resistant manner.” All in all, Wallkanda is bringing web3 tools to street artists, while elevating the street art niche.

The treasure hunt is just one of the many things Wallkanda has in the pipeline. These include an NFT collection, a free mint for artists, as well as a community of street art fans.
