The home to FLUF World, New Zealand-based NFT-focused company Non-Fungible Labs has partnered with stellar actor Keanu Reeves and his lifetime partner, artist Alexandra Grant to launch The Futureverse Foundation. The fund was created to aid underrepresented artists by raising awareness of their works both IRL and in digital space. In addition to supporting the artsy community, The Futureverse Foundation also seeks to help average people access the metaverse and the web3.
As for Keanu and Alexandra, the renowned couple is onboarding The Futureverse Foundation as advisors. Thus, the actor who has recently made derogatory comments towards NFTs has taken the red web-3 pill to join the metaverse Matrix for charity.
“I am honored to be joining Non-Fungible Labs’ efforts in cooperation with Alexandra Grant for the extraordinary program and opportunity of the Futureverse Foundation, in support of artists and creators globally,” Keanu Reeves said.
The Futureverse Foundation will be granting funds via a nomination process, with special attention to underrepresented representatives of the creative realm. The cooperative mission will also use the connections and powers of the promoted FLUF World community to make web3 a better place for artists.
“Funding for the arts is a challenge for every artist and arts non-profit. Dreaming up a new model for arts philanthropy with the Non-Fungible Labs team that can have a lasting impact in both the digital and real realms has been one of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on, that has already had a real impact,” Alexandra Grant commented on the assignment.
In preparation for the launch of The Futureverse, Non-Fungible Labs donated a whopping 100,000 euros to Nana Oforiatta Ayim, curator of the Ghanian exhibit at the Venice Biennale 2022.
Thus, if you want to speak out loud to the world with your art, and are seeking opportunities and funding, you can turn to The Futureverse Foundation, and try your luck to become a nominee for funding. Take your chance!
