BOSO TOKYO is a new, original collection from a strong, experienced team with an abundance of experience. It is a generative avatar project which is being built for metaverse capabilities.
What is BOSO TOKYO?
The main vision of BOSO TOKYO is to provide an avatar for their collectors’ single identities in the metaverse. They aim for the time that metaverse co-exists for their avatars will be used on several platforms by people who own them.
The team is confident that BOSO TOKYO will become an “identity-defining brand for the metaverse era”.
Upon the drop of the collection in early August, the project looks to introduce ‘REVVING’, where users will be able to stake their NFTs and earn passive rewards. Beyond this, users will be granted commercial use rights, allowing them to “create figures, use it in advertisements, rent it out” and more with no limits. This is not always something that is seen in NFT projects, however, it is certainly a positive when you do see it.
The project’s Twitter and website launched yesterday (June 13th). You can follow them on Twitter or check out their website for any future news about the project. A Discord is set to be coming soon but hasn’t yet been released.
Finally, the project is holding a giveaway for one of its NFTs. You can find the link here, and enter the giveaway by doing a simple task. A teaser video can also be found on the giveaway page.
The Team Behind the Project
The project’s team stands out, with each member having lots of experience in varying fields such as crypto, NFTs, and GameFi.
Their main illustrator, Hidetaka Tenjin is responsible for the illustrations of BOSO TOKYO. Tenjin has done a lot of artwork related to robots. Tenjin has drawn box art for plastic models of the MG (master grade) series including “Star Wars”, “Gundam” and”Macross”, as well as many other companies, games and other brands.
The creative director, known as Afromance, is designing the overall creative designs and worldview of the project. He is the CEO of a creative company, Afro&Co. Also, he has hosted several major parties in Japan. During COVID-19 he created an online music festival that brought over 2 million participants.
Finally, Hisashi Oki is responsible for the ideology and manifesto of the project. He is currently the Japan Representative for Ledger, one of the world’s largest crypto wallet companies. His previous background includes being the head of brand marketing, PR and public relations at a large crypto exchange and many writing and editing roles for several publications.
The Roadmap

Beyond this, users will be granted commercial use rights, allowing them to “create figures, use it in advertisements, rent it out” and more with no constraints. To clarify, this is not always something that is seen in NFT projects. However, it is certainly a positive when you do see it.
BOSO TOKYO is planning to hold a large event in Tokyo to promote the brand. They hope that it will bring massive talent from Tokyo.
Also, they have enlisted some names in crypto and web3 for work with the project.
