Hyundai Card x LIKE LION To Launch NFT Marketplace and Wallet

Hyundai Card, a leading Korean financial technology company, has partnered with LIKE LION to launch an NFT marketplace and wallet. Titled “Modern Lion”, the joint venture takes its name from both the companies, with Hyundai translated to Modern. So, what’s the Hyundai Card x LIKE LION partnership all about?

Following the partnership, Modern Lion will open an NFT marketplace in the second half of this year. Furthermore, they will release NFTs based on Hyundai Card’s assets. What’s more, Modern Lion will also offer NFT sourcing and curation services.

“When big companies and startups push for a joint business, they should be willing to cooperate with each other on an equal footing,” said Hyundai Card Vice Chairman and CEO Chung Tae-young. “Hyundai Card and Like Lion will do their utmost to maximize synergies by garnering all their capabilities.”

Meanwhile, Duhee Lee, LIKE LION’s CEO, added, “We will try our best to make Modern Lion become an influential NFT player and win an outstanding status in the global market.”

What is Hyundai Card?

A leading financial technology company, Hyundai Card has heavily invested in the digital space, including on the blockchain. In March this year, the company announced several pilot programs using NFTs. These programs enable people to apply NFTs to music performances and other cultural assets. 

Hyundai Card’s latest venture signals its expansion in the NFT space. Soon, it will launch its own NFTs wherein holders will get access to exclusive experiences. An educational tech startup, LIKE LION too has an active presence in the NFT space with projects like MetaKongz, a 3D PFP collection and Syltare, a P2E trading card game.
