Warner Bros Inaugurates Looney Tunes IP into NFT Realm

The lovable and mischievous cartoon characters of the Looney Tunes have been announced as the latest Warner Bros. IP to be propelled into the world of NFTs. In a creative spin on Bugs Bunny’s infamous expression, the collection is titled ‘What’s Up Block?’.

The collection’s first instalment will go on public sale on June 21st on Nifty’s, with the ever-innocent Tweety Pie being the first of the characters to take form as a PFP NFT. In the near future, NFTs of other characters such as Bugs, Daffy Duck, and Marvin the Martian will be launched.

As the Tweety Pie PFP NFT will be one that features many different styles and accessories, the mint will be blind, with its reveal taking place on June 23rd.

Those who’ve delved into Warner Bros.’ previous ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ NFT endeavour will also be able to gain access to the collection’s presale, which takes place on June 20th. To do so, they must hold a rare, epic, or legendary Tweety Space Jam NFT, or alternatively, any Monstars NFTs. There is still time to go and grab one of these assets, as the all-important snapshot will take place on June 15th.

Away from the NFTs’ visual aesthetics, the What’s Up Block? project as a whole aims to leverage the storytelling elements of the Looney Tunes IP to incorporate unique events, facilitate merchandise discounts, and offer other ‘real world’ rewards for consumers.
