Yesterday, we reported that Instagram is launching NFT integration on its platform. In the latest update to this much-exciting news, the Women Rise NFT project has announced that its founder, Maliha Abidi, will join Instagram’s Alpha Cohort for its NFT digital collectibles feature.
Women Rise Joins Instagram’s Alpha Cohort: All You Need to Know
Yesterday, Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram took to Twitter to explain all about Instagram’s upcoming NFT feature. According to him, the company will start testing digital collectibles on the platform. With this, a select group of US creators and collectors will be able to share their NFTs on Instagram.
“It is a limited number of people to start with. We wanted to start small and learn from the community,” he said. “One of the unique opportunities we have is to make Web3 technologies [NFTs] accessible to much broader range of people.”
Women Rise’s Maliha Abidi is one of the select members of the cohort. Together, the group will help Instagram in testing this new feature. At the same time, they will provide feedback and recommendations to bring out the best of Instagram NFT integration.
Sharing the details on the official Women Rise Discord group, Abidi said that she will soon start posting Women Rise NFTs on her Instagram page using the new feature. She will post a mix of posts, stories, and reels featuring Women Rise NFTs. Instagram, on the other hand, will amplify these posts, helping the collection reach a new audience.
Besides, Instagram will also announce the rest of the members of the cohort in the coming days. We can certainly expect some big names, including blue-chip projects and top NFT influencers to be a part of the Alpha Cohort!
