John Terry is back in the NFT space, this time supporting the NFT P2E racehorse game, MetaRace. The famous footballer, former captain of Chelsea Football Club and England, has previously been outspoken about his love of NFTs.
However, after his ‘Ape Kids Football Club’ NFT collection slipped in price, he deleted almost all of his social media posts about the project. Now, it appears as though the former defender is back, promoting MetaRace.
The P2E MetaRace game launched in April on the decentralized edge rendering metaverse protocol, Caduceus. It is the first of its kind to launch on Caduceus, co-built by MetaverseGraph Labs.
John Terry lends his name to the MetaRace game
In MetaRace Horse Racing, users can interact with other competitive horse racing enthusiasts. There are several game modes, and you can race your mechanical horse to gain rewards. What’s more, you can experience the whole horse racing ecosystem within this game.
In the press release, MetaRace stated, “MetaRace is hugely appreciative of the important leaders in various fields who have expanded awareness of this partnership, the legendary football superstar, John Terry, one of England & Chelsea’s most successful captains. In addition to this, we present professional snooker legend and former world champion Stephen “Snooker Emperor” Hendry.”
Having John Terry on the project will open up the game to millions of fans. Horse racing is incredibly popular in England, where John has most of his fans.
Hopefully, the MetaRace game will do better than the last John Terry NFT project, ‘Ape Kids Football Club’. Footballers and celebrities are more than welcome in the NFT community, but many people question their motives when they promote numerous projects, delete posts, etc.
