Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Todd Terry will be one of the first artists to sell digital art pieces on the new NFT platform VINCI. This is one of many high-profile partnerships that the soon-to-launch European digital art market VINCI has in store.
About the collaboration
VINCI is primarily intended to be an NFT platform dedicated to music and art. Artists will receive a percentage of the resale price in royalties every time their NFT is resold. In addition to owning a unique artwork by their favourite artist, collectors will also receive part of the royalty payments.
The goal of VINCI is to use blockchain technology to make it easier for fans and collectors to invest in digital art. In addition, the NFT platform wants to create a new revenue stream for artists and strong artist-fan communities.
Since November 2021, VINCI has grown from strength to strength. It now has its own token and raised more than $2.5 million solely through the pre-order of its token – all before the official launch of the marketplace. As a result, such a high-profile collaboration will continue to boost the reputation of the market.
Brett Voorzaat, CEO of VINCI, said: “It makes me immensely proud to be able to welcome Todd Terry to our platform. Todd Terry is a true house legend and the type of musician fans and collectors will be able to invest in and become part of something truly special.”
He continued: “Today, musicians are highly dependent on income from their shows, while streams on services like Youtube and Spotify contribute very little to up-and-coming artists’ paycheck. Our mission is to create a new way for artists to make a living off their work and passion.”
VINCI will start launching its products in 2022. In addition to the NFT marketplace, VINCI will also introduce a launchpad for third-party tokens and a series of exclusive events. Moreover, aspiring NFT creators can now participate in VINCI’s art competition for a chance to win $55,000 prices worth of prizes.
