Australia Zoo, the home of the Irwin family, is launching an NFT project to protect wildlife. Working with Meadow Labs, this amazing wildlife theme NFT collection will live on Algorand, the carbon negative blockchain.
Honouring 20 years of the Wildlife Warriors, the project will feature a series of NFT drops. These drops will focus on a different Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors animal.
Australia Zoo NFT collection will help to protect threatened and endangered animals.
Set up in 2002 by iconic animal expert Steve Irwin and his wife, Terri, Wildlife Warriors is an animal protection charity. Its main goal is to involve and educate others in rescuing injured and threatened wildlife. What’s more, all of the money from the NFT collection will go to Australia Zoo and the Wildlife Warriors.
Robert Irwin of Australia Zoo said, “At Australia Zoo, we’re always open to new ways that can help continue our Wildlife Warriors mission. Any innovation that can help our conservation efforts, particularly one that shares our vision of protecting the planet, is something we’re thrilled to support. This green chain and new technology allow us to continue fighting.”
Furthermore, it is great to see Australia Zoo using NFTs to help animals. Also, they are a perfect fit for the NFT space, with many animal PFP projects in the Web3 space. Actually, many big NFT projects also help animal charities and help them with donations, events and much more.
