Netflix’s ever-popular science fiction horror drama Stranger Things is set to drop an NFT collection ahead of its fourth season. To facilitate the launch, the streaming platform is teaming up with NFT platform Candy Digital, who will also be running the project’s marketing campaign.
News of the launch broke when fanatics of the series stumbled across an ‘iamhellsmaster’ website. The site currently sports a simple, on-brand aesthetic with its staple piece being a digital clock which is counting down to 1AM BST on April 30th. When trying to enter the site further, visitors are also greeted with a message which reads: ‘Congrats for uncovering the clues and joining Stranger Things 4’s interactive curiosity voyage, brought to you by Candy Digital and Netflix’.
With regards to explicit details on the upcoming NFT concept, visitors who sign up to the project’s email list are teased with the description: “immerse yourself in the mystery by decoding messages, solving puzzles, and even collecting awards along the way”.
For now, such insight is all that has been provided, meaning it is still unbeknownst as to whether April 30th will see the actual drop of NFTs, or merely a promotional event such as a whitelist opening. That being said, what we do know for certain is that the actual TV series will be launched over the course of the summer, which, because of its supersized nature, will manifest itself in two parts.
