On 4/30, 12pm ET, the Otherside metaverse will finally make its grand entrance. Within the official Otherside teaser that broke the NFT space, everyone noticed a cute, albeit fierce-looking creature in multiple scenes. Besides the Otherside logo looking like a Koda, the celestial creatures were seen in the leaked BAYC pitch deck as well. So here’s what we know so far.

Fortunately, one race of celestials still remain, which are the Kodas. The Kodas used their cosmic energy to birth one final microverse into our dimension. Then, they identified and pulled the perfect candidates, dumping them in a strange new land. In the official teaser video, we see this exact scenario play out. Bored Apes and other notable NFTs arrive in… The Otherside.A few days ago, the BAYC tweet teased: ‘What the f**k is a Koda?’, and did not say anything else. Intriguing yet kinda annoying when everyone is dying to find out what it is. If there are no significant changes from the pitch deck, players can only get a Koda NFT by purchasing a plot of land in the Otherside metaverse. But there is only a small chance of scoring one.There will be a total of 200k land plots, with the Genesis drop releasing half of them. 30% of the 100k land plots will go to BAYC/MAYC owners, while 70% will be for the public sale. The pitch indicates that they will be for sale at 1 ETH per plot. Here’s the juicy part. Each plot of land will have the possibility of containing natural resources, rare artifacts, and for the lucky few, a Koda! This means that if you have been priced out of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, this may be your chance to get in at an extremely low price tag.Nevertheless, there is only a 10% chance to get them, or maybe even lesser, depending on Yuga Labs. If all the 10k Kodas are in the genesis drop, then there will be a 10% chance. If the 10k PFPs are randomly assigned among the 200k land plots, then the chances shrink further.ETH or APE?Another burning question is if the land sale will be in ETH or ApeCoin. Given the launch of ApeCoin in the recent months, is it just a happy coincidence? Although ApeCoin is available on several major exchanges, most NFT enthusiasts still use ETH. On another note, the ApeCoin price is at its all time high right now with no signs of slowing down. Could it be because of the impending metaverse launch?
