Vogue Singapore Launches NFT Collection Titled ‘Every Body’

Vogue Singapore is combining the power of Web3 and fashion to create a collection of NFTs. In collaboration with the popular curatorial collective, The MetaArt Club, the ‘Every Body’ project aims to change perceptions in fashion and the metaverse.Vogue Singapore launches NFT collection “Every Body’ in collaboration with The MetaArt Club. In total, there are 500 of the Vogue Singapore ‘Every Body’ NFTs. Furthermore, some of these special NFTs feature unlockable content. The entire collection of art is available on OpenSea on May 5th, 8 PM SGT/8 AM EST.What is the Vogue Singapore NFT ‘Every Body’ collection?For March, the entire 28 editions of Vogue came together to unite under the ‘Every Body’ campaign for Vogue Values. The NFT collection, with The MetaArt Club (TMAC), is Vogue Singapore’s vision of the statement.Norman Tan, Editor in Chief of Vogue Singapore said, “For Vogue Singapore, that includes spotlighting fashion’s role in Web 3.0 and what representation of ‘Every Body’ looks like in the metaverse through the lens of digital creatives”. The Vogue Singapore NFT artwork collection challenges cultural, racial, and gender stereotypes in fashion and the metaverse. The artists behind the project are KeiKen, CryptoZR (Liu Jiaying), Owo Aniete, Suzy Q and Wu Ziyang. Each artist has created two artworks around the ‘Every Body’ theme.The ‘Every Body’ NFT collection is available from May 5th on OpenSea. Credit: Freedom by Owo AnieteEvery artist has taken a different approach and used their skills in the way they see fit. For example, Keiken created the U-Mi Water Warrior’. This is a character created as both an animated NFT and a collectible NFT avatar pack. It also allows users to display them across the metaverse and games in multiple forms.However, Nigerian digital artist Owo Aniete uses symbolism to reimagine the “African diaspora culture of ancient, pre-colonial sculptures.” The artwork for the Vogue Singapore NFT collection is called ‘Freedom’ and another called ‘Peace’. Freedom suggests how loving yourself by your standards is the true meaning of freedom.The MetaArt Club connects curation and blockchain art.Vogue Singapore teamed with The MetaArt Club for this NFT project because of its distinct and active process to NFT art. TMAC acts as a bridge between curation and collecting art. It includes a collection of 9,888 NFTs by 35 digital artists. Finally, The MetaArt Club is creative and always looking for new art and artists. The Vogue Singapore NFT collection highlights TMAC’s vital role as a fine art NFT platform.
